| Rev. Comer has been married to Zabrina N. Comer for the past six years. He was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. Rev. Comer's life began in the Ida B. Wells housing project. After moving to the near south side of the city, he attended St. Leo Grammar School and Simeon Vocational High School. In high school, Rev. Comer was a music major and an athlete. He played percussion in the school's band and baseball for which he received scholarships to college in both. Rev. Comer attended Delaware St. College on these scholarships, but due to financial hardships he was forced to leave school after his freshman year. After being out of school for a semester, Rev. Comer decided to join the United States Army in order to get money for school. He was on active duty for three years spending time all over the world, Berlin, Germany, Amsterdam, and Italy just to name a few. After his active tour he returned home and spent four years in the IL National Guard. While doing his tour in the National Guard, Rev. Comer earned his Associates Degree from Kennedy-King College and his BA Degree at Chicago State University. He is currently working on his MS Degree at Governors State University. He accepted his call to preach the Gospel in 1997 at the Salem Baptist Church of Chicago and has been preaching the Gospel to youth and adults all over the country since. With God and his wife by his side, Rev. Comer believes that there is nothing that he can not accomplish. He leaves this thought with all he comes in contact with.. "Don't be all that you can be, be all that God called you to be because he knows no limitation." |
